Checkatrade Trophy - Newport County Wednesday 4th
Anyone else making to trip across the bridge on Wednesday .
Can’t help but wonder what planning genius decided to shut the M4 at Junction 20 thro 19 last week after the Caraboa game.
West Ham at Newport and Luton at Cardiff - let’s shut the M4...... arghh
For me the diversion was M5, Gloucester, Cirencester, Stow etc mainly A-roads and home to Bedfordshire just before 2.00am
No fun when you’re working in the morning.

Like others have said a scrappy game.
But we created loads of chances. Looked like our defenders were always caught a second behind the ball played in.
Good finishing and a great spirit. Joe Powell looks strong and can shoot. Anthony Scully has come from knowhere to score several goals of late.Looks a bit to chunky to have much speed but seems to be in the right place for his goals. I did think he was a midfielder but has adapted well to playing upfront.
I saw the Man Utd game highlights and that game had much better quality from both teams. However we were missing Holland,Alese and Coventry in this game, three qualty individuals.
Things are looking good for the U23's.

Highlights are on OS.

This new U23 manager we have has made a very impressive start. Maybe he is being groomed as Pellegrini's successor. I wasn't expecting an English accent with his name though.
